In Pyay, 260 km north-west of Yangon, you will find the
historical UNESCO World Heritage site of Sri Ksetra, the former capital of the Pyu dynasty.

 

You will be also fascinated of the panoramic views, when you climb up the Shwesandaw Pagoda in the middle of the town: You will see not only the Irrawaddy river and the breathtaking landscape surrounding Pyay, but also the big image of the sitting Sehtatgyi Buddha.
