Bago

"What an atmosphere to watch hundreds of monks queueing for their meal!"

Bago, 90km north east of Yangon, is famous for its Budhist temples and pagodas.

One of them is the Shwe Maw Daw Pagoda. With 114m in height it is the tallest in all over Myanmar. An other impressive attraction is the Shwethalyaung Reclining Buddha with 55 meters in length.

The beautiful Mya Tha Lyaung Reclining Buddha and the Four Figures Paya (Kyaik Pun Paya), with four buddha figures standing back to back are a must for all visitors.

And don't miss to watch hundrets of monks in the morning, when they are queueing to receive their meal at the Khat Wain Kyaung monastery!
